CHOCOCRU® Extraordinary Flavanol Cocoa is a delicious cocoa. Unlike most standard cocoa powders it is uniquely high in flavanols – maintaining 80% of the flavanols of the cocoa bean. Each 5g teaspoon provides 415mg flavanol antioxidants.

What are Flavonoids?

Flavonoids are a group of plant metabolites thought to provide health benefits through cell signalling pathways and antioxidant effects. These molecules are found in a variety of fruits and vegetables.

Questions and Answers

Do cocoa flavanols lose their bioactivity in milk?
No. Cocoa flavanols do not become inactive when added to milk. Cocoa flavanols remain bioactive in milk.

Benefits of CHOCOCRU® Extraordinary Flavanol Cocoa

Reduced fat

CHOCOCRU® cocoa is reduced in fat. It contains only 11% cocoa butter, compared to an average 24% cocoa butter found typically in standard cocoa or raw cocoa.

Non- Alkalised

CHOCOCRU® cocoa is NON-ALKALISED. This means that the chemical processing typical of standard cocoa powders does not take place. 

Low Carbohydrate

CHOCOCRU® cocoa contains only 0.7g carbohydrate and a trace 0.02g of sugars per teaspoon. 

Low Calorie

CHOCOCRU® cocoa contains only 13 calories per 5g teaspoon making this the ideal for those wishing to monitor their calorie intake.
