CHOCOCRU luxury healthier chocolates launch in Selfridges

TheBabyWebsite.comThis is Queen of luxury chocolates Maria Constantinou showing off her fabulous new CHOCOCRU Extraordinary Antioxidant Bouchees which are assorted chocolates. Not just ordinary chocolates, but triple layered and exquisitly decorated. They are packed with nutrients. The chocolate centres are made only with fruit and nuts, essential oils and sweetened with fruit extracts. They contain an extraordinary high level of antioxidants as they are made with a special chocolate. CHOCOCRU Bouchees have health benefits beyond a clean fresh and unique chocolate taste!
Included in the range areCHOCOCRU Extraordinary Antioxidant Mejewels which are filled dates in a rich antioxidant

Maria's recipe for 'CHOCOCRU Extraordinary Antioxidant Chocolate Cake' is made with CHOCOCRU Extraordinary Antioxidant Cocoa and Sweet Freedom.

This indulgent (in looks only) 'no bake' chocolate cake contains no eggs, flour, butter or oils.

One slice (one eighth of the cake) contains 515mg flavanol antioxidants. This is the equivalent in terms of antioxidant value, to 6 servings of fruit and vegetables and that is just from the cocoa powder as there are whlolesome fruit and nuts in this recipe (though you would never guess!).

If you buy the cocoa from Selfridges you get the recipe too.  Chocolate cake has never been SO healthy!

A Fabulous day off + 2 belated reviews

CHOCOCRU Extraordinary Antioxidant Cocoa contains the WORLDS richest source of flavanol antioxidants and has scientifically proven benefits which you notice. One teaspoon of this extraordinary antioxidant cocoa is the equivalent in antioxidants as 5 portions of fruit and vegetables.

When one teaspoon (5g) is taken in a drink, used in baking, cooking or added to smoothies (bananas, ice, milk and a mejool date is wonderful), creates an antioxidant boost that improves concentration and focus after 2 hours. It can also be added to savoury cooking to enrich the nutrients and flavour.

Taken on a daily basis for 3 weeks creates an improvement in skin hydration and moisture by up to 37% (you will begin to notice skin benefits earlier than this).

Taken daily after 6 weeks has shown a reduction in blood serum cholesterol and blood pressure, if elevated.

There are anecdotal benefits reported which include increased stamina, more refreshed on waking and less tired. This may be due to the iron levels per teaspoon (15% RDA), or the high levels of antioxidants which help to support the body fight oxidative stress and free radicals, which age and tire us.

The Financial Times - The Reconnoiseur Mejewel by CHOCOCRU

Grounds for my claim lie in the handmade Mejewel dates by the wonderful chocolate maker CHOCOCRU.

Succulent dates are set in an individual crisp dark chocolate shell filled with a blend of fruits, nuts, spices and essential oils.

With their curious toppings, they look less like dates than strange forest creatures hatching from a pod. My favourites re the rose mejewels : a blend of almonds, coconut and a rare damask oil that apparently costs 100 pounds a teaspoon. These are decorated with dried roses, whose outer leaves are edible. Other decorative toppings include gold-dusted sesame seeds, Iranian pistachios and 24ct gold leaf.

The Healthy Treat!

Maria Constantinou is the founder of CHOCOCRU, the chocolate with a difference and at her Knightsbridge offices she explained why her chocolate is actually good for you.

Wow! Just what every woman has been waiting for, I thought, healthy, guilt free chocolate. Maria took great pride in confirming this and explaining the health benefits which come with CHOCOCRU's extraordinary antioxidant cocoa and chocolate, a range, which contains the world's richest source of flavanol antioxidants.

The products are immaculately presented and, it has to be said, taste as good as they look, with a reassuring list of significant health benefits that make them an even more attractive proposition.
